(Images | Issue 14 featuring Jos)
In our anticipation for Pinups L.A. release party for issue No.14, on May 7th @ Peep Show Gallery, Pinups creator Christopher Schulz sat down with Sean Yashar for a little game called “If Design Were …”
Let’s get into Christopher’s head, shall we:
SY: If design were an object?
CS: A vinyl record.
SY: …a song?
CS: Something by the likes of Pulp—some kitchen sink drama with the glamour of disco.
SY: … a film?
CS: Blue by Derek Jarman.
SY: …a memory?
CS: Childhood road trips.
SY: …a moment?
CS: The peak of anticipation.
SY: …an era?
CS: I’ve always been in love with the aesthetic leftovers of the late 1960s and 1970s.
SY: …a place?
CS: The Sonoran Desert.
SY: …a time of day?
CS: Depends on the desired lighting. Sunrise/Sunset.
SY: …a Person?
CS: Grace Jones
SY: …an animal?
CS: A Shiba Inu—so perfect!
SY: …a city?
CS: All the cities that I have yet to visit.
SY: …a food?
CS: Nutella
SY: …a fetish?
CS: Design IS a fetish—the ultimate fetish.
